Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the dimensions of social intelligence and organizational climate in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. The descriptive approach was used in this study to assess the levels of social intelligence (among workers) and the level of organizational climate in pharmaceutical companies from the viewpoint of the employees in leadership positions. To analyze the relationship between the dimensions of this study, the statistical package of social sciences (SPSS) was used. Data was collected using a questionnaire that was distributed to employees in 10 pharmaceutical companies, using the random stratified sampling technique. (159) questionnaire forms out of (231) were retrieved and considered valid for analysis. The study revealed that the level of social intelligence among employees was moderate and in some dimensions tends to rise. In addition, the quality of organizational climate was moderate. However, there was a strong positive correlation between social intelligence and organizational climate. This finding has a significant impact on the regulatory climate. Several recommendations were outlined, including that managers should pay attention to social intelligence and its development that contributes to a more effective organizational climate. Furthermore, managers should search for other factors that would improve organizational climate both at the individual and organizational levels.
