Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between abusive supervision and organizational silence. In addition, it also aimed to determine whether organizational mobbing and trust in the supervisor mediate this relationship or not. Therefore, its significance stems from combining all the obvious variables in one study, since no previous study combined them. Moreover, its data was collected from multiple sources (both supervisors and subordinates). A field study was conducted on two samples (215 subordinates and 75 supervisors) who work in the East Delta Company for producing electricity, by using a questionnaire which was constructed depending on previous studies and suitable statistical techniques. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between abusive supervision and organizational silence. Moreover, the researcher concluded that both organizational mobbing and trust in the supervisor partially mediate the relationship between abusive supervision and organizational silence.
