The Degree of Contribution the Positive Citizenship and Life Skills Course in Achieving the Intellectual Security Among Al-Balqa Applied University Students from their Point of View

Abstract

The study aims to shed light on the importance of positive citizenship and life skills and the intellectual security among university students, and to reveal the extent of the contribution of the positive citizenship and life skills course to achieving intellectual security among Al-Balqa applied university students from their point of view. And to identify the extent to which the positive citizenship and life skills course contributes to achieving intellectual security among university students according to the gender variable, the study sample consisted of (422) students in the University College of Irbid in the intermediate diploma level, for the academic year 2019/2020.The study used a questionnaire prepared by the researchers and within the descriptive analytical approach, and the study found in its results that the degree of the contribution of the course of positive citizenship and life skills to achieving intellectual security was high, that is, it has a large and effective role in development and achieving intellectual security among students of Al-Balqa applied university. And there are no differences in the degree to which the positive citizenship and life skills course contributes to achieving intellectual security among university students is attributable to gender, The most important recommendations: Insertion the course on positive citizenship and life skills within the study plan for all Levels and stages of study in all universities.
