Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the history of Al-Jafer in Southern Jordan from the earliest time, throughout the Nabataeans, Roman and Islamic times, as well as throughout the modern times and Greater Arab Revolt ending with establishment the agricultural project that contribute to the Bedouins settlement in the region. The study depends on the archaeological surveys and reports, which mentioned of the region in the writings of the western travelers, the Britain documents, and the Emirate of East Jordan documents
