Plants as an Element in Microclimate Modification in Jordan Landscape Courtyard Gardens
الملخص
Microclimate modification is the only way that can be used to modify the climate in gardens. In this study, microclimate modification was measured using two types of sensors that recorded light intensity, relative humidity, and temperature. Envi-met 4.0 was used to assess the results. The study aimed to explore the role of plants in modifying the microclimate in courtyard gardens. The results indicated that wide spreading trees have the most important application in lowering temperature at ground level and above ground level through its shading effect. The wall that is climbed by plants has an important application for lowering the temperature at ground level through its ability to increase relative humidity. The non-living elements were less effective in microclimate modification compared to plants. However, utilizing a space surrounded by hedge is the worst option in this regard. The most important periodic time that needs microclimate modification is from 6am to 12pm and from 12pm to 6pm. Finally, Envi-met results concur with instrumental records.التنزيلات
