Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes of the participants and non-participants towards the economic projects launched by the Badia development program in the northern Badia of Jordan. And the preferable projects for future development as well. To achieve the above goals a statistical technique (chi-square) and the behavioral approach were employed to test the differences between the participants and non-participants in terms of their attitudes towards these projects in Dair Al-Kahf, Tal Al-Remah and Anaqeed Al-Khair. The study concluded the following: 1- The impact of these economic projects was less effective since the projects were only recently established. 2- The participants who are working in these projects were the most beneficiaries, while the non-participants where not interested in such projects. 3- The scarcity of water and lack of marketing skills were among the main problems to be solved. 4- Many participants and non-participants have shown interest in tourism, animal production (diary, honey, wool, and meat), car maintenance and tailoring projects.
