Population change of the Amman Governorate districts for the period (2004-2015)

Abstract

This study Entitled Population Analysis in the Amman Governorate, for the period (2004-2015) aimed at identifying the reality of the spatial distribution of the population in the Amman, the Jordanian capital, and on population growth trends in the study area for the period 2004-2015. Moreover, population growth analysis to reveal the mechanism of differences in this distribution. Using the descriptive analytical method based on the data of the Jordanian Department of Statistics for the population census of 2004 and 2015. The results of this study shows that there is a high variation between the population growth rates for the administrative brigades in the Amman governorate, which ranges between 4% in the Kasbah brigade and 9.9% in the Sahab brigade. The University when calculating the concentration percentages, it is observed that they decrease in some brigades such as the Na'our Brigade and their rise in others such as the Giza Brigade. In general, the overall concentration percentage for the Capital Governorate decreased by 2.92% between 2004 and 2015, which indicates a better distribution trend of the population over the total area of the governorate
