Abstract

The study aims at uncovering how self-searching and the psychological conflict for the characters of the novel ”Mira” by the Jordanian novelist Qasem Tawfiq and the impact of that in the technical formation in it and uncovering the ability of the novel on embodying the psychological state for its characters through their relations with each other and their relations with the place and the community, the characters had been suffering from a psychological crisis as a result of the societal pressures beside the change of the place that affected the psychology of the characters. The concern of the writer to uncover the psychological dimensions of the characters made him employ the technical tools assisting him to penetrate the deeps of characters from the inside, and the technical technicalities such as the internal monologue, awareness current and remembrance. The study’s results: the place did a significant role in affecting the characters. The changing of the place has led to a psychological crisis for the characters and made them unable to adapt with life. Also, the employment of aware narrator in the novel made the writer able to connect the branching incidents in it and in spite of that, the novel conserved the attracting element, it was not a classical weak novel.
