A attitude of Saudi University Students Towards The Use Of Electronic Educational Means On Study : A Sociological Study

Abstract

The Study aimed at knowing the effect of the use of the educational electronic means on the level of study achievement from the point of view of university students in Saudi Arabia. I is a social field study carried out on a sample of students from three Saudi public universities with a more than 40 thousands mail students. A survey method by sample was used to carry out this study. A sample of 637 undergraduate students who were registered on the second term of the academic year of 2014-2015 were selected from the three universities, from all different colleges and level of study, and socio-economic backgrounds. The study revealed group of results among the important of which that universities should provide infrastructure of internet computers, ICTs on a high quality, and that (86%) of students possess their own computers, connected to the internet, and that (56.8%) of students said that there was no difference between their marks from the electronic and traditional exams. The majority believe that the use of educational electronic means dose not necessarily increase the level of achievement, while they believe that such use might increase the level cultural achievement.
