Field Training Obstacles Among Students of The Social Work at The University of Jordan

Abstract

ABSTRACT the aim of study is to identify the field training obstacle among students of the social work at the University of Jordan, and to determine whether there are differences in the obstacles attributed to gender, academic level, and the level of field training. To achieve the purpose of study, a descriptive analytical study was conducted using the social survey method. The population consists of social work students registered for the subjects of field training 2 and 3 for the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014 with total of (66) students. A four dimensions questionnaire was prepared, and that questionnaire consists of 40 statements. Simple and advanced statistical methods as T-Test and analysis of variance were used to determine the differences and statistical significance for variables. the study results showed that field training obstacles among students of the social work related to the students and academic supervisors are with low level, and obstacles associated with the supervisor in the field and training institution are with average level , and the obstacles with the highest score are that obstacles associated with field training supervisors, and obstacles with the lowest scores are that obstacles associated with the academic supervisors ,and the obstacles in general are with a medium level .also, the study showed that there are statistically significance differences for obstacles faced by field training students attributed to gender in favor of females, and there are no statistically significant differences for the obstacles that attributed to academic level and the level of field training.
