Abstract

The study reviews the rich heritage presence in the art of contemporary literary epigrams, illustrated in the texts of the writer Suha Na’jah, in her publications: (Jamr wa Khamr), (Tanas), (La Ekrah Fi Al Wasl), (Al Subh Fena Tanafas), where the connotations of Arab humanitarian heritage and its citations were accentuated, based on the writers’ artistic and creative envisions of its religious, historical, literary, legendary, Sufi and other symbols. The writer expressed her envisions in a clear and profound language, manifesting with proficiency and accuracy deep psychological dimensions and rich knowledge she possesses, which was evident in the distinct presence of heritage in her texts, in a frame of coherence and orchestration of those texts’ rhymes, contextual and literal contrasts, and stylistics variations, which shows that the writer constantly shifts between literary genres, and that heritage in all of its shapes will remain an abundant source for literates; enlightening our present and extending to our future.
