The Arab Regional System in Light of International Transitions (Reality, Challenges and Future)

Abstract

Aim of the Study: This study aims to explain the reality of the Arab regional system and the main Challenges facing it. In addition, it aims to illuminate the future of the Arab System in light of these difficulties and challenges. Research hypothesis and question: the main hypothesis of the study articulate that the weakness of the Arab regional system has fueled several challenges that threaten its future, and almost leads to its collapse and demise. Research Method: To achieve the study goals, test the research hypothesis and answer the research questions the study used the Descriptive analytical approach being the best for answering the main research questions. Results: The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which are: Arab states had become weak, vis-à-vis both other regional actors and the international political and economic order. Moreover, the geographical location of Arab world being the center of many world issues and political affairs, in addition to its endowed with large natural resource wealth, all these problems have created challenges and difficulties for the region. Recommendations: Amomg many other recommendations, the study shows that there is a real need of rinding a new formula for joint Arab action and reforming of the national governments as a step towards reforming the Arab regional system as a whole.
