Abstract

The main question of the research is: How helpful is video observation as a successful and additional instrument during the MaDaF (M.A. in GFL) internship at the German-Jordanian University (GJU) and the methodology seminar of the B.A. Double major students at the University of Jordan. GFL teacher training in Jordan is explained with regard to video use. The theoretical considerations are supplemented with the results of the case study carried out at both the GJU and the University of Jordan. The use of videography in GFL teacher training forms the core of the work. One of the goals is to enable students to recognize, understand and analyze problems in learning and teaching. This is made possible by self-assessment or self-evaluation. The videography promotes the exchange in the seminar discussion about the classroom observations and experiences, opinions and perspectives and the discussion about the challenges and difficulties.
