The impact of adolescents' use of social media on their family relationships from the perspective of their mothers In Palestinian society

Abstract

The study aims to identify the effect of adolescents' use of social media on their family relationships from the viewpoint of their mothers in the Palestinian society and the relationship of this to the Demographic variables (The study sample consisted of (100) mothers Then apply a questionnaire consisting of (55) a paragraph. Study results have shown: That total score of positive effects of social media on family relationships is medium, While the negative effects were huge, In light of these results Several recommendations were made, the most important of which was raising awareness among Mothers whose teenage sons use social media; Urging the family to integrate their teenage children into various realistic activities and not to allow free time to control their teenage children, putting restrictions on the hours of use for those sites, and spreading awareness of the importance of family cohesion and the importance of family relationships by urging families to talk to each other and discuss the different things that help the adolescents to build their independent personalities
