Abstract

This study aims to shed light on r The impact of the intervention in the new international order on Sovereignty Rights (Iraq Case Study 2003 – 2018). The study used the descriptive analytical, the historical and the legal method. The objectives of the study focused on the problem that revolves around the main question: What is the reality of sovereign rights in Iraq and what are the effects of the international regime's interventions on its sovereignty? It presents two hypotheses: as the intervention of the international order in the state’s affairs increases, the sovereignty of that state decreases, and there is a correlated relationship between concepts of the state’s sovereignty rights and the change in the state's functions under the international order interventions. The study concluded that The International and Regional interventions in Iraq had negative role in achieving its sovereignty and dignity, and it also reduced its pivotal role in the region through subjugation and subordination. The study recommended that it is important to work on promoting the public, national and mobilized opinion on the importance of the Iraqi sovereignty and unity through initiatives based on dialogue and national conciliation. This helps in mitigating the tension in the state’s stability, economy, culture and society.
