Abstract

This research tries to show the dialectic relationship between faith and mind through the clarification of the structural relationship, taking into consideration three dimensions: The human being, holy texts and the philosophy of religion. The researchers show that man is the only being who practices the action of faith and the action of reasoning. Faith and mind have always been linked to each other within the human domain. This emphasized the interrelation between the judgment that is based on faith and that is based on mind right from the outset of the human history. It also emphasize that this interrelation has passed from primitive levels into developed approaches due to the accumulation of the human experiences in different civilizations and vended with the form we see now. The research deals with the Christian and Islamic texts where the researchers show how these texts urged for the use of mind and its importance to human beings. As a result, all believers are invited to acknowledge the importance of the use of mind, and its effect on faith. In the domain of the philosophy of religion, we show although philosophy is based on mind activity and religion is based on faith, the high level of interaction between faith and mind is important in this field of knowledge, and as a result the Authors tried to pass over the traditional understanding and the prejudice of the discursive knowledge and knowledge based on faith and to find way of interpretation.
