Abstract

The heritage of a nation is the legacy of older generations passed on to newer ones. This heritage of knowledge, science, arts, customs, traditions and culture forms the cultural and social structure of each nation. One of the most important elements of heritage is found in manuscripts and the Arab-Islamic nation has inherited many manuscripts in various areas of knowledge and science. Editing and disseminating those manuscripts in a manner that keeps pace with the times is an important task for each generation in order to preserve that heritage from loss and to make it available in a way that is easy to benefit from. This research presents a summary of the discoveries, benefits, findings and observations I have made while editing and publishing 25 heritage manuscripts.
