The Impact of Origin on Ibn Khālawayh's views about the Actualization and Softening of Glottalization through his book: Declension of Qur'ānic Readings

Abstract

This research examines, by study and analysis, the Qur'ānic readings from the view of phonetics, and takes the phenomenon: Actualization and Softeningof Glottalization as a model of application. The research aims to show the influence of the origin in the interpretations of Ibn Khālawayh for Qur'ānic readings which included the actualization and softening cases of Glottalization in his book: " Declension of Qur'ānic Readings and their causes"; by displaying and analyzing examples of the book, revealing the concept of the origin for him, and how he judged his views in his declension and argumentation of Qur'ānic readings, and why he preferred, sometimes, a choice on another.
