Reasons of the Departure of the Abbasside Caliphs from Baghdad to find Another Capital 132H/749 A.C.- 334H/945 A.C.
Abstract
In the history of the Abbasside state, Baghdad was Known as the most famous capital in the history of the state. Then Samarra`, which was considered as the second capital of the Abbasside during the reign of Al – Mu`tasem billah Bin Haroon Al- Rashid - who had brought too many Turkish soldiers to the Abbasside Army. Baghdad couldn`t stand that number of soldiers, therefore, Al- Mu`tasem relocate his capital to Samerra`. Baghdad and Samarra`. Both of them were not the only capitals of the Abbasside Caliphas from Baghdad to Samerra was not the only one in their history. The Abbasside caliphs left Baghdad several times.
