Social Networking and Parental Control

Abstract

This study aims at identifying the means of the Social Networking and its impact on the Parental Control. The study followed the descriptive analytical method and used a sample consisted of 200 members of Al Zaytoonah University students. The results show that the Social Networking sites helped in building Social capital and worked in connecting friends and relatives across distances ( all over the world ), but it caused a gap in the relationships between individuals, and reduced the chances of Parental Control and supervision . The study also showed significant statistical differences related to the Social Networking and monthly income variable, it also showed a statistically significant differences between Parental Control and gender.
