Poetics of Contrast:"Alaqadriahlilazmi" of Al-Mutanabbi as a Model

Abstract

This study is based on an attempt believes that the poetic text is an open text for a reading after reading. It is an attempt to endeavor the poetical text from inside, so it has chosen a poem for a laureate Arab poet: Al-Mutanabbi. The attempt has offered a theoretical introduction to poetics of contradiction, then a practical introduction which endeavored the text from inside. This attempt perceived the effectiveness of contradiction in the text structure, and how this contradiction created a poetic environment, and built a pattern of the praised person. This study concluded that the text remains open for progressive readings, and this attempt is an admissible attempt in reading the poetical text.
