Abstract

This Study examined the epistemological transformations of Realism and Liberalism in the context of the new direction in theorizing in international relations. It examined each theory by itself in terms of the new development in IR, then compared these theories with each other in the light of such development on the bases of the unity of methods and levels of analysis. The study reached the following conclusion; there have been epistemological transformations in both theories caused by the international changes in the post- Cold War era, These transformations came to enhance the ability of both theories to deal with the new changes in international system.
