Tahir bin Al-Hussien`s Epistle to His Son Abdullah: A Textual , Analytical Study

Abstract

The present research endeavours to elucidate the artistic, objective features of Tahir bin Al-Hussien's epistle to his son Abdullah when he was appointed as a governor (Wali) of Al-Riqqa at the reign of the Caliph Al-Ma'mun.

This epistle, in which the author has poured all his administrative and political expertise in addition to his general education before it has been conveyed to his son, has induced Al-Ma'mun's praise and admiration.
