Abstract

Studying the position of theatrical art among other arts, and knowing its specific nature, will give us the opportunity to specify the technology that could be beneficial for theatre.

Is technology helpful or danger element for theatre?

It has been proven, by practical experience, that comparing theatre with other dramatic arts (Cinema and T.V) is not in the best for it from a theatrical point of view.

Determining clear methods to apply technology in theatre will have a direct impact on the theatrical process, and distinguishing this art. Research sheds light on the specific nature of theatrical art that distinguishes it from other arts - Static and Dynamic - and how to apply it in a harmonic way to serve the specific nature of this art in particular, as it emphasizes the need to maintain this specific nature to face the competitive dramatic arts such as Cinema and TV. The research deals with the element of lightning in theatre, and discusses the issue of programmed lightning, and what role it played towards the specific nature of the theatrical art. The research determine several basis that are advised to be taken into account when dealing with the new techniques in theatre.
