The phenomenon of yearning in the poetry of Ibn Abd Rabh Al-Andalusi

Abstract

This research aims at exploring the phenomenon of yearning in the poetry of the poet Ibn abd Rabh Al-andalusi (328). This is done through two ways: first analyzing the life of the poet to find out the most prominent effects in his life and then describing it in passing. Secondly, presenting some of his poetry that embodies the words of yearning mentioned in his poetry and the causes of this yearning, and then presenting some other examples that embody the implications of this phenomenon. The research concludes that the words of yearning and its implications as: (the yearning for sons, the yearning for the woman, the youth , the ancient places ,the war , the oriental spirit , the wine and the yearning for the music and ecstasy) have taken a good presence in the poetical works, a thing , that made a prominent stylistic feature and obvious expressive quality in in ibn Abd rabh Poetry.
