Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that lie behind the outbreak of revolutions and protests that swept a number of the Arab countries, and determine the impact of these factors and the correlation between the independent variables and the outbreak of revolutions and protests (the dependent variable). The study also aims to identify variances among Arab countries for the variables under study. The study was applied on all the Arab countries. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, and analysis of multiple regressions, The Pearson correlation coefficient, as the study used the One -Way Anova analysis. By using statistical package SPSS. The results showed extraction two factors gathered around the variables of the study, has reached the cumulative value of these explained factors accounted for(%80) of the value of the variation in performance variables. It also noted the results of multiple regression analysis indicated that that factors are derived from the results of factor analysis have had a obvious impact on the outbreak of revolutions and protests in the Arab world, where the R2=0.61. In addition, the Pearson correlation coefficients indicate to the significant correlation at the 5% level between independent variables and the occurrence of revolutions and protests (dependent variable). Finally, the results of One-way Anova analysis showed that there is variation significant between the Arab countries for the variables with the exception the Gini coefficient, which are considered weak when compared with other countries, such as (Switzerland, Singapore, Norway, countries advanced economies, countries of the world) under study.
