Abstract

This research discusses two concepts used as a reference and a methodology in design process, Metaphor and Inclusion reduce copying elements from historical buildings to new design. Analyzing the (Mihrab of King Hussien bin Talal mosque in Amman city and the mihrab of sultan Hassan mosque in Cairo city will explain and prove the hypotheses of this research that supposing a match between the two mihrabs and there is a real case in design process of mosques using these two concepts. Finally, the researcher presents his conclusions and recommendations.
