Ibn Asaker's Woman Sheikhs: Analytical Study
Abstract
This study addresses a significant missing part of "al-Niswan Chronicle" compiled by Ibn Asaker (499-571H) to document his eighty or more woman sheikhs from whom he acquired his education, heard, read and once they authenticated his established learning he related from them. His precious work "Damascus History" revealed more than fifty woman sheikhs in which his woman sheikh's life histories were chronicled together with their original towns, disciplines, and the fields in which they were prominent, and how much of the learning he transmitted from each of them; for that end, the analytical approach was used.Downloads
