Difficulties Prevent Jordanian Women Participation in Political Life in Light of some Social Variables . A Field Study on Pioneer Women Sample in North Region

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the most important difficulties that prevent Jordanian women participation in political life in light of some social variables ,To achieve the study goals, a questionnaire was applied on a purposive sample consisted of 80 women . The following conclusions were drawn from this study: the social , the cultural, political ,media , legal and economical difficulties are the most important factors that prevent Jordanian women participation in political life. There is no significant differences between social variables and participation difficulties except age variable. Finally, and in light of the results the study came up with some recommendations such as: working on the awareness of society to change its believes regarding women participation on political life and to work on improving the economical situation of women (economical empowerment).
