(La-Jarum) between Theory and Usage

Abstract

This study deals with an important linguistic structure called (La-Jarum). The study concentrated on the grammatical, phonetically, morphological and semantically aspects of this structure (La-Jarum). Also, we studied the origin and uses of (La-Jarum) in Arabic language. We analyzed this structure (La-Jarum) by using the grammar books and explanation books of quran. The study showed that La-Jarum is a compound structure that is always used as one unit and its origin is from quran. It also showed that the meaning of (La-Jarum) improved by time semantically. Now, its meaning became for astonishment and exclamation.
