Abstract

The objective of this article is to focus on the importance of the knowledge of syntactic system when learning translation. We rely on a corpus composed of sentences translated from Arabic into French limiting the research scope to analysis of two structures, the infinitive and the progressive aspects. The article explores the two mentioned syntactic structures as used in every language in the light of functional linguistics.
