The Language of Individualism and Place; a case study of Alshanfra’s poem” the Lamyya”

Abstract

This paper attempts to trace the linguistic emerge of the “I” phenomena and its struggle with the tribal environment to show the poet’s suffer of individualism and alienation in his society. This state was motivated by a case of Destruction and disruption which show his inability to occupy a good position among his people to make him feel that he belongs to them. This sense resulted in a feeling of insulation from his society developed in a dramatic style that establishes a case of struggle centered on neediness and hunger, so, the poet, tried to create a substitute represented in a tribe of lions and other wild animals to prove himself.
