Literary Rhetoric Humour: Concepts and Mechanisms

Abstract

Rhetoric humour is a scientific rhetoric issue which falls within the scope of study of rhetoric. It is far beyond the limits known to the researcher and it is not bound by scientific rules that can place it within reach of the common user. Considering its high rhetoric scientific value, the researcher in his modest attempt, tried to disclose some of the mysteries surrounding this superior type of issues related to the scientific rhetoric humour among the early writers. This paper is a modest attempt at presenting a model for classification of these aspects of rhetoric humour, setting rules for them rendering them easy to learn and practice so that the learner might fully appreciate the full flavor of the beautiful Arabic literary texts, thanks to the identification of its concepts and the definition of its mechanisms.
