Abstract

This study deals with Berien area in terms of describing the geo-morphological characteristics, like: slope by degrees, aspect, hill shade, and View shade, in order to classify the land uses as well as to define the surface hydrology such as: watershed patterns. The present study riles on topographic map (TP) Scale 1:25000, using applied (GIS) programs to create digital elevation model (DEM). The key findings are as follows:1-According to the relative height the study area described as high hills.2-Variation in the regression, ranging between flat to extremely steep.3 - The study area divided according to the landforms to multi-geomorphological units, including: valleys, hills, and Cliffs.4- Multi: main and secandary aspect due to topography. 5- Steam order ranged between 1-4.6-Elongation Ratio ranged between 32%-41%.7- According to the previous properties the study area divided to specialized land use, land cover including: agricultural areas, forest areas, and grazing areas.
