Abstract

Iraq played an important commercial role during the Middle Ages as Baghdad became on of the vigorous trade centers in the world. Goods were imported from all areas. Markets were full of a lot of oriental and occidental, exotic-priceless products. Merchants would come from far areas to purchase. Naturally, markets were crowded with commercial processes. Baghdad was a well-established trade center before the Abbasid had established it as a political capital. The city's location was a destination for tradesmen from Persian and Arab.
