Abstract

This study examines the various types and aspects of Chivalry Features in the Poetry of the Vgabond Poet Ta'abata Sharran, including the two connected aspects; the sensory and the moral ones. His chivalric verse contributed not only to his reputation as a poet, knight and courageous warrior but also to the reputation of his ilk. Those features were deduced from the poetry itself. The study aims at investigating the effect of chivalry on his poetry and his life, in an attempt to give this poet his right from study and researching.

This study consists of an introduction and four chapters. The introduction is devoted to the conception of chivalry linguistically and idiomatically, whereas the other four chapters point out the general chivalric heroism, chivalry through the woman, chivalry through the other and chivalry through the exotic.
