Efforts of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan in the unification of the United Arab Emirates between 1968-1971 AD

Abstract

This study took the efforts of Sheikh Zayed Bin sultan in uniting the United Arab Emirates between 1968 - 1971. It showed a general glimpse about the seven Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Om Alqewean, Fujera, Ras Al Khaymah) then the British efforts to unite them through two stages in 1937 and 1952. After that it talked about the British withdrawal from the Arabian Gulf then the union stages which were: the double unite stage and the nine Emirates unite stage .Then it talked about the dependence in 1971 At the end , it talked about the global reactions and Sheikh Zayed's efforts in uniting the Emirates since the British withdrawal and announcing the United Arab Emirates State in 1971.
