Heroism Pictures in Omayyad Poetry

Abstract

From the early ages, poetry convoyed Arabs life expressing their hopes and grief. It also described Arabs heroic actions and feats. This study is about the details of heroism in the Omayyad Poetry revealing its forms, reasons as well as its tools. Moreover, the study pores over the technical featuresoism poetry in the Omayyad period. This paper goes over some poems which conclude that heroism has clear characteristics and elevated values such as bravery, patience , sincerity , firmness and chastity . Heroism included actions done by the Omayyad hero as war and generosity heroism.
