Abstract

The study examines the poetry after the fall of Valencia in 636 AH and impact that left in them and in their description of their feelings to their city and revealing the points of weakness and strength in their reactions towards that fall. It also describes the impact of the incident in the lives of people who were forced to leave and the humiliation they encountered and the nostalgic feelings to their homeland. The study also depicts the language the poets used and the meanings of terms and images in expressing the psyche of people who used to live there during the blockade and after the fall of the city. It also explores some of the poets of Valencia who immortalized the incidents.
