An Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Staff Working At the Clinics of the Jordanian Association for Family Planning and Protection (JAFPP) from the Clients Point of View (A Field Study)

Abstract

This study aims to identifying the effectiveness of the staff working at the clinics of the Jordanian Association for Family Planning and Protection (JAFPP), by identifying the clients' satisfaction with the staff’s ability to render reproductive health services. The study also aims to identify the relationship between the demographic, economic and social factors and the satisfaction of the clients with the staff.

To achieve the goals of the study, a representative stratified random sample of 50% of the JAFPP clinics from each of the 3 regions of the kingdom has been randomly selected. And For 3 days, all the clients who visited those clinics were interviewed. In addition, all the staff members of all of the JAFPP 19 clinics were interviewed also . The total sample size was (541) clients. The study used the descriptive method.  A questionnaire was used as a data collecting tool, and the descriptive ways to analysis data. 

 The major conclusions of the study are: 1. The clients are satisfied with the clinics staff competence and attitude, but they think the staff number is not sufficient. They also added that the female staffs, services prices are the major factors that distinguish JAFPP from other similar organizations. 2. The one way ANNOVA test, which was followed by Duncan test, showed that there is a relationship between some the economic, social and demographic factors (educational level, age, work, marital status, and monthly income, health insurance) and the satisfaction of the clients with the staff and the services provided. Finally, the researchers recommendations based on the study results are,   JAFPP should concentrate more on the social specialists' role in giving quality and quantity advices. JAFPP should also improve its internal regulations, especially incentives, salaries, working hours, and increase the staff number.
