Abstract

This research aims at pointing out the events that caused the decline of the Umayyad Caliphate. Accordingly, this Caliphate became a princelings state in Cordova, and then it has been abolished. My approach to such an issue will be set out as follows: Analyzing the roles of inefficient caliphs. The rise of Hammudi Caliphate who could not put an end to the concept of the Umayyad Caliphate from the mind of the Cordovans who resisted the Hammudi presence in cordova and chose to revive the Umayyad caliphate but unfortunately, they made a mistake by choosing the caliph. This research will find out the cause of failure of the cordovans who finally dethroned the Umayyad and followed by the fall of the Umayyad Caliphate.
