Population Components in Qninasrin District Till the 10th Century

Abstract

This paper tries to shed some light on one of biggest districts in Levant Region in the first four centuries of the Islamic empire, this area is the Qninasrin District which is located on the border with Roman Empire that was considered the base for the most islamic military missions against Romans. The research gives a brief overview about the district that was established during the Umayyad era, then it discusses the various aspects related to the district such as its habitants and their religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds giving the geographical distribution of the population on the ground.
