The Effect of Cultural Diversity in Andalusia on the Andalusian Muwashaḥat

Abstract

The study aims to investigate the effect of the cultural, social and civilization intermingling that the Arabic literature of Andalusia witnessed. The study chooses Al-Muwashaḥat of Andalusia as an empirical model to achieve this objective, Through an analytical and descriptive approach. The study assumes that the cultural diversity which was common in Andalusia has its effects on the tradition, culture, literature, and all types of science on that society. The study also traces these effects from many aspects including: the theory of the emergence of Al-Muwashahat, the interrelationship at the content level, and the interrelationship at the aesthetic structure of Al-Muwashahat. The study concludes by showing the prominent levels of the direct and indirect effect of the cultural diversity of Andalusia on Al-Muwashshaḥat.
