The Reality of Digital Plastic Art in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

This study aims to review of digital plastic art in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to identify the concept, methods and trends of digital art, and to analyze the digital artworks of Saudi plastic artists, by presenting models of their works. The sample of the study included seven digital art works done by Saudi artists during the period from 2010 AD to 2016 AD. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The Saudi digital plastic artist was able to keep pace with global technical development in digital art, and he was able to produce digital artworks with aesthetic and artistic values. It has also been noted that the number of artists practicing digital art in Saudi Arabia is increasing, and they are widely spread on the internet social media Web-sites, and most of them are young people, which heralds a new stage for digital art there. The study recommended document and archive all digital artworks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and working to activate the copyright law of these works in order to protect the rights of artists.
