The concept of International Security within the Theories of International Relations in light of post 9\11 Global changes
Abstract
The study tackles the concept of international security within the theories of international relations in light of post 9\11 global changes. Its main hypothesis is that there is a relationship between the latest world changes and the changes in the concept of international security. The study uses the new international order approach to uncover the nature of changes in the structure of the international system. In addition, it uses the comparative analytical approach to describe the nature of changes in the theories of international relations. The findings show a positive relationship between global changes and changes in the concept of international security. Such a relationship impacts the rapprochement on the concept of international security between the various theories, in terms of knowledge and approach. Moreover, the results indicate a need to transcend beyond the traditional views of international security and tackle it from alternative and innovative perspectives.Downloads
