The family gratitude and its relation to marital satisfaction of newly married women

Abstract

The study aims to determine the relation between marital gratification and marital satisfaction among newly married women. The study population consisted of 341 women who were newly married at Al-Balqa University in Jordan. The study sample consisted of (120) newly married women at Al-Balqa University In Jordan, they were selected randomly. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed the questionnaire of family gratitude and consisted of (25) paragraphs and included five dimensions: (achievement of goals, sense of happiness, integration, desire to achieve, expression of success) From (24) and included three dimensions: (economic satisfaction, psychological and social satisfaction, family satisfaction), including each dimension on (8) paragraphs and verified the validity and stability of the two instruments.The study shows that: Family gratitude for newly married women at Al-Balqa University in Jordan was average for all dimension and the marital satisfaction of newly married women at Al-Balqa University in Jordan was average for all dimensions as well, and there is a statistically significant relationship at the level of α (0.05) between family and marital satisfaction..
