Historical s Writing of Al-Azimi's and their Importance to Study the Period of the Islamic- Fernjah- Crusade

Abstract

This study aims to try to get acquainted with the importance of the writings of the Shami historian (Al-Uzimi) by studying his remaining texts to understand the importance of these texts in the Fernjah- Crusades, while studying the life of this historian and his shouykhe (Teachers), the most important of his works and the date of his death, also the extent of the authenticity of his writings in this context. The study concluded with determining the date of his death and showing the importance of his narratives for his contemporaneous events. And the nature of the material that he handled, in addition to his reliance on the accounts of the historians Al-Jabri and Hamdan Al-Atarbi, both of whom had lost their history which he wrote , and only the accounts that( al-Uzimi )had transmitted, and part that was transmitted by Ibn al-Adim, and therefore this study concluded the high importance of his writings for this Crusader-Islamic conflict.
