Abstract

Iraq in this research deals an area survey, and this change affected in extension over long history. This studying requires the human reconstruction that appeared on soil as the main reason for changing in geographical area of Iraq. Thus, we started from the problem of effect (trying to identify Iraq in spatial extent (spatial field), which a occupied throughout various eras, and extent of dependence on current spatial extension. One of the most important results of this research it is show us the sincerity of first hypothesis, the geographical area of Iraq has changed over long history, and it varied between positive and negative changes. the highest positive spatial change and affected in Iraqi land was in royal era, it is the period of drawing the Iraqi borders, and this change about 180,269 km2.
