Abstract

News coverage of social security issues in the official Iraqi press (An analytical study of the official newspaper Al-Sabah) Community security is a fundamental pillar of the stability and development of societies. Therefore, our study of the nature of media coverage of community security judges in the state's orientations and public vision, particular importance is the theoretical aspect of providing real information about the nature of press coverage in the official Iraqi press, On the practical side, it provides journalists and a series of gatekeepers with the necessary expertise to enable them to conduct press coverage that contributes to strengthening and enhancing community security. The research problem was a key question about the ways, methods and content of News coverage of community security issues in the Iraqi daily newspaper Al-Sabah included a set of sub-questions, The research aimed to describe the indicators of news coverage that Al-Sabah newspaper deals with issues of social security. The research is a descriptive study that adopted the survey methodology and used the content analysis method to analyze issues from the daily morning newspaper issued in the month of March 2018 in a comprehensive inventory method that included all the numbers of the newspaper issued in this month from 4/3 - 29/3/2018, which reached (22) issues.
