Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the electoral systems that were used in Iraq after 2003, and through research in the study of electoral systems in post-conflict countries, we reached that electoral systems can achieve political stability and peaceful coexistence in society, and they can also produce sustainable peace In ethnically diverse societies, their best selection and management of their operations. We recommended, through research, the following: work to draft an election law that establishes a civil state away from the sectarian quotas that produced corruption in the Iraqi state after 2003. We recommend adopting the mixed system and adopting the unmodified St. Lego method of converting votes into parliamentary seats.
